Moving On Up…

I had the pleasure of having coffee with Ellen during a quick jaunt to Chapel Hill on Saturday for a bridal shower. Pictoral evidence can be found here. And now, she’s gotten the big promotion to the “people we’ve met” category of links. :o)

Speaking of pictures, I haven’t posted pregnancy pictures this time around, because I don’t look that pregnant yet. Certainly not for a second-timer. I am gaining weight (about 12-13 lbs. so far) and I did pack on more in my third trimester than any other time with Kate, so I’m not worried. It’s nice to still be able to wear my normal tops! I credit the moderate weight gain to Kate’s continued nursing, which I credit in part to the fact that she is already experiencing the trauma of 2 year molars, before she even has all of her first four bottom teeth in!

  1. Poor Kate! :(

And you’re right, you don’t look that pregnant, at least in the pic of you & Ellen… sounds like y’all had a great time, I’m jealous! ;)

  2. i was gonna say… i wouldn’t have guessed from the picture that you were pregnant.

  3. Thanks! The skirt is maternity, but the shirt isn’t. Up close, I look a little pregnant, but much less so in that head-on picture…

    Elizabeth,
Are you coming to visit family for Thanksgiving or just Christmas? We’ll definitely be in WF for T-giving… Eventually, I am sure we’ll get to meet up!

  4. I know! I was looking at the picture later and thinking “ooo-kay, I know it’s time to hit the gym when a 6-month preggo looks skinnier than me!!” ;)

And yay! for being in the “people we’ve met” category!

  5. I’m not sure of our exact plans, but we should be in Raleigh for a few days at Thanksgiving if all goes well. I’ll definitely let you know and see if we can work something out! That would be really fun! :)

  6. you look great, mama! i think you’re right about the nursing. i didn’t show at all until my third trimester with my second babe and henry was really going strong with the nursing. ::thumbs up::
