I’ve been using my newfound Photoshop Elements power to make the header photos on the top of the page. Other than the UT tower one, all of the photos are from our photo collection. If you have a cool landscape photo you want to submit, I’m accepting donations… especially a good autumn scene or two :o)

Yeah, all the functions I actually used in PS I can do pretty well in PSE. And it’s so easy! Being an all-digital photography family makes it a must-have.

I don’t know if you’ve tried The GIMP yet, but it’s a terrific open-source image manipulation program. All the power of Photoshop with none of the cost. Also, GimpShop was recently released – a modified version designed to resemble the Photoshop interface.

My old computer hated the gimp. It wouldn’t work 75% of the time, and when it did, I couldn’t do the things I most wanted to do. I was used to Photoshop, so PSE suited me well.
