After

One of the hard things about serious blog posts is I have no idea what to say next. I should point out that I do feel like Memphis is going to work out for our family, and I really enjoy the people I’ve hung out with here so far. Yesterday I tweeted “Worship + great sermon + lunch & trolley ride with friends = very good sunday. May even get used to morning church.” Those who know me know what a big deal that is ;)

Right now, I’m sick and Lexi is watching Snow Buddies. A truly unremarkable film, but she is in the stage where she loves talking dog and cat movies. So I let her watch them. Anthropomorphism in film has definitely improved since the 70s and early 80s, but the cheesiness abides.

What was your favorite talking animal movie as a kid?

    Aristocats >^..^< xoxo

  2. Does Narnia count? We used to watch the old Wonderworks series, and I loved them. The technology definitely got a boost with the latest round from Disney, though!

  3. Charlotte’s Web, Winnie the Pooh, Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, Aristocats (thanks — I’d forgotten about that one!) — basically all of Disney’s movies.

But nowadays my favorite talking animal movie is Babe.

  4. Charlotte’s Web, no question. And about your previous post: I can really relate. I ought to be a pro at moving by now, but this latest one of ours has just about done me in. I’m worn out in every way, and the thought of trying to summon up some energy to start new relationships is just too overwhelming. I’m trying to remind myself that moves take time and not to make decisions or judgments just yet.

    Glad you’re blogging again! :)
