Thesis and more

I have some friends who are going through the whole "I'm going to become supported staff for such-and-such ministry." Of course, they often get the question "How is support going?"

I've decided this question is pretty much just like asking a Master's student, "How is your thesis going?" And it gets the same answer....


Well, I think things are going well. I've made some progress the last [week/day] or so, and that's been good. I dunno though, I feel like I could be doing more. My [advisor/mentor/coach] thinks I'm making decent progress, or at least isn't complaining, so I guess I'm doing pretty well. I've got a busy time coming up the next few [days/weeks] so I really need to get at it a little more. Hopefully I'll be done by [next week/next month/October].
