A family in our school community is in the midst of one of my worst nightmares. A young father of two named Sam had colon surgery about two weeks ago, got an infection and never left the hospital. He passed away yesterday. Please pray for his wife, Emilie, and his two children Abby (3rd grade) and Sam (turned 5 last week).

This is one of my worst fears, too. I can’t even imagine their pain. I hope they feel God’s comfort.
Praying for them too – that the Spirit would intercede on my behalf as I pray, for I do not really know how to pray. These things just make my heart so sick and sad.
I’m sorry.
